If 5 years ago someone was not sure whether to give support or not because they did not know him enough, Ivanov now has history behind him of 5 years active efforts and fight for the interests of the Macedonian people and the Macedonian citizens.

This was stated by President of VMRO – DPMNE and Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski at the rally in Strumica where he seek for another term for Ivanov.
Ivanov is a man who, after 5 years at the position of President of the Republic of Macedonia remained with the people, the same one who knew when he for the first time stood at the head of state. The power and politics have not changed him. It is one of the arguments why this man deserves second term. Ivanov stayed on the ground. Many politicians, when they come to the position with a decent reputation, but did not finish the term as honest men. Many politicians have come to the position as a stable and reasonable, but not everyone stayed on the ground. They flew up in the sky, and people could not see and recognize them in a year period. That was not the case with Ivanov. He deserves respect. Ivanov came as honest and steady man, mature person; he started the first and second term in same way. I am confident that the citizens will give the second one to him. As people, know to distinguish and estimate. People want to go safe, and with Ivanov, we are safe. He worked tirelessly and honestly, without saving himself. Both here and abroad, working with people. He tried to convince politicians all around the world Macedonia depend on in terms of some important decisions for our future. Ivanov was one of the most active presidents when it comes to international politics and diplomacy, Gruevski said.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Ivanov was always ready to discuss, give new ideas to support good ideas, and not to ruin.
- On the contrary, with him we had a period of 5 years when the Macedonian state officials had unity. For a long before we could not say this. Ivanov was man who always, in all talks, activities and lobbying, placed the state before everything. He deserves a second term. He stayed maximum, dedicated to all things related to his constitutional powers. He carefully and steadily managed the Army under his authority. We talked with him about the appointment of ambassadors, because the Constitution calls us to have cooperation in this part. I can tell you that Ivanov was not a man who sees who has proposed who, if the government or he did the proposal. He sat with us and discussed about able and honest people who will represent Macedonia, no matter who has proposed them. He was interested in capable people ready to defend the state and national interests of the Republic of Macedonia, Gruevski said.
He pointed out that Ivanov did not dealt with the blows coming from side and remained calm and steady when array insults and slanders were directed at him.
