After several days of hide and seek, secret meetings and speculation, today Stevo Pendarovski finally admitted he would be SDSM candidate for President of the Republic of Macedonia.
I was prompted that I was proposed by all 76-community organizations and that I have the most support compared to any other candidate of the party base. After this, I made a decision to accept the offer and now I leave it the party procedure, said Stevo Pendarovski for Press24.
This is information that is extremely contradictory to the yesterday’s statement of Pendarovski for Republika in which he claimed there are no contacts not information and he does not know if he would be SDSM candidate for President of the Republic of Macedonia. In two days, two completely opposite statements. It is not a serious start of the campaign.
One day, says he is not candidate and the other day he says he is. Pendarovski learned the policy by Crvenkovski. He also, first claimed that he will not be candidate for President of the Republic of Macedonia, and then he became candidate.
Stevo Pendarovski is not new face on the political scene. He was Chairman of the State Election Commission during the presidential elections in 2004, when in extremely conspicuous manner Crvenkovski won. Exactly, Stevo Pendarovski as chairman of the SEC, is the man who legitimate and recognized highly questionable choices and by that helped Crvenkovski to become President of the Republic of Macedonia. The harmful policies Crvenkovski would not have been part of our everyday life if elections were conducted legally.
Pendarovski immediately after questionable elections on which Crvenkovski won, was appointed as Adviser to the Cabinet. As a reward for well-done job in previous elections, the public then strongly opposed this decision, which somehow meant returned recognition for service, but Crvenkovski and Pendarovski remained deaf to these criticisms.
Stevo Pendarovsi in the past period after termination of position of Crvenkovski as President, is present and active in the high circles of SDSM. He often participated in the SDSM campaign and rallies. He is not new character as he was part of several election cycles in which SDSM failed and lost by its political opponents.
