Incumbent President of the Republic of Macedonia, Gjorgje Ivanov, has decided to accept the initiative for a second term as President of the Republic of Macedonia.
- I am honored, considering all the challenges and prospects that we are facing with commitment and responsible approach, with a desire to achieve further success for our country, which will be of interest to all citizens. I want to declare that I made a decision that I will accept the initiative for my candidacy for President of the Republic of Macedonia and will submit my bid to the Convention of VMRO – DPMNE, Ivanov said.
He added that there are moments in life that determine future activities further joint developments.
In such moments, as Ivanov noted, we need to make the right decisions which are the result of faith in the values.
- I firmly believe that all of us, citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, Macedonians, Albanians, Turks, Serbs, Roma, Vlachs, Bosniaks and others, Christians, Muslims, Jews and atheists have the potential and capacity to carry wise decisions and we have shown in. I am proud of what we have done together, my fellow citizens, for our country. Let’s go together to build our common future, to build the country, develop coexistence, to nurture the values and promote the national interests of the Republic of Macedonia, Ivanov said in his address.
Being President of the Republic of Macedonia, according to Ivanov , means always being honest to their fellow citizens, to stick to the word and dignity and to be always on the side of unity, democracy and patriotism.
