This government never did projects that will do harm to anyone, least to people from Macedonia and the neighboring countries, the Prime Minister said on Sunday, commenting on the information about the project “Lukovo pole”.
- I would like to send a message to the people living in this region to be peaceful that this government is not working any projects that could harm the citizens and the environment and has never worked so far. And they need to know that we stand behind them, not those speculators who want to use this project to draw some political benefit and made the people to believe that this project will do some damage, Gruevski said.
The Prime Minister explained that this project is done together with the World Bank, which prepares environmental projects to demonstrate the strengths and possible weaknesses. Then, he said, a final decision would be made.
- If the project shows that there will be no serious damage to the nature, the environment, the citizens, in this case the project will be realized. Conversely, if the project could damage the citizens, the environment, nature, and the neighbors, of course that such a project at first will not be supported by the World Bank.
