The President of the Social Democratic Alliance and the Mayor of Strumica Zoran Zaev as guest at the weekly journal of national service, among others, spoke about the tenders that Strumica Municipality and its institutions awarded to Zaev’s family companies.
At the journalist question, if it is ethical and politically moral, your close relatives, father, brother, uncle, cousins to receive tenders from the municipality of Strumica for a period when you manage the municipality, Zoran Zaev answer:
“This is the story, these are tenders with value of 108,000, 84,000, 35,000 MKD.”
But the facts show the opposite. Macedonian public the past few months has repeatedly been able to see more details and was able to find out the truth. The documents have emerged in the media, which show that the tenders received by the members of the immediate family of Zoran Zaev are with far greater value than the one mentioned by Zoran Zaev.
According to documents leaked in the last period, companies that are owned by father and cousin of Zoran Zaev, Panche and Trajche Zaev, over the past few years have received tenders with tremendous value. As example, we will list few.
The company Zovi Promet owned by Panche Zaev in 2009 has won the tender worth 5.35 million MKD, in 2011 on the same day, the company also has received two tenders worth total of about 15 million MKD.
Companies Pelagonija and IGM Elenica where figures the cousin Trajche Zaev also has got far more tenders with values more than the one mentioned by Zoran Zaev. The company Pelagonija in 2008 has received tender worth 2,758,362 MKD, while last year, 2012 has received tender worth 1,977,550 MKD. It is not the different situation of these two companies compared to company IGM Elenica, which in a period of one year, between 2008 and 2009, has won two tenders worth around 2 million.
If you gather the financial means of these companies owned by family of Zaev obtained received from the municipal budget managed by Zoran Zaev in the past five years, will receive huge amount of about 60 million MKD.
Obviously, this is far bigger value than the one that Zoran Zaev mentioned for the interview for MRTV.
