For the next 4 years VMRO – DPMNE offers program with 2046 projects, out of which most are made with the support and communication with the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, while respecting their interests, proposals, suggestions and remarks, said Spiro Ristovski at the press conference.
Below follows the integral text from the press conference of Spiro Ristovski from VMRO – DPMNE.
I take this opportunity on behalf of my party to thank all those who suggested project or participated in replenishment of existing, because with their help we created program that will continue to build economically stable Macedonia and will continue to improve the economic and social status and standards of living, will continue to build Macedonia as country based on knowledge, on science, information technology and innovation.
The Macedonian education system in the next period will be upgraded and promoted with at least 47 educational and scientific projects. At the press conference today I will mention few of them, that are essential, significant and have higher priority in the new term.
The government led by VMRO – DPMNE plans to open the first International Primary School in Macedonia, which through specialized curricula in English, and adequately trained teachers will allow students quickly and effectively to learn this foreign language. For this purpose will be invested 100 million MKD.
Additionally, in the area of primary education is provided extending and expanding the international IB program that is taught in 145 countries worldwide in more than 3,500 schools and which changes the approach of teachers, i.e. no classical lecture on the board, students are active and more emphasis is given on practical training. This international program is introduced to us in elementary school from first to fifth grade in two schools and until the next school year will be introduced at the upper classes from sixth to ninth grade, and as we mentioned we will consider extending the IB program to other schools in Macedonia in municipalities where there are opportunities to introduce Learning in IB will remain free, unlike many other countries where it cost lot of money.
As kind of incentive for the best students from primary and secondary schools in mathematics and science, which participated in the international competition and the top 75 % of contestants, are anticipated rewards, which are provided by the budget of 2.4 million MKD.
Also special emphasis will be placed on the identification of gifted students, their stimulation and continued working with them through the creation of special education policies by experts from various fields including psychological and pedagogical services in the schools.
In terms of vocational education, which will be the focus of policies for modernizing and increasing the attractiveness, we will realize the project “Realistic school companies” which provides opening of companies in the schools, related on -represented occupations, intended primarily for practical training of students and commercialization of products and services. School services will develop the entrepreneurial spirit of the students, through their direct participation in the creation and organization of activities.
For developing the competitive spirit among students, detection talented in every area, and increase the attractiveness of vocational schools, the project “Leader” anticipates introducing competitions on local and national level among students of similar educational profiles in vocational schools, which would have chosen students – leaders in every profession, and to be rewarded accordingly.
In the area of adult education, particularly important is the establishment of the Academy of Technical Education, which will aim to provide short specialized training following the recent standards for employees in the technical sector companies with lower levels of education. The aim is to meet the requirements of domestic and foreign investors for such workers, according to their production capacities and needs.
For women over 30 and men over 35 years, which in the past for any reason failed to formalize higher education, will be offered the possibility under certain financial and other incentives to enroll in any of the state universities. Encouraging is the fact that before this project (35/45) which referred to women over 35 and men over 45 years of higher education institutions enrolled 1,200 persons. In the new program, reduction of the age limit means the possibility of offering it to the new potential interested parties.
As a tool for connecting students in primary and secondary school will be established the so-called “Interactive portal for tutors.” It will provide encouraging social responsibility and allowing students access to free extra classes for the students, which would ultimately result in a greater level of knowledge. Students tutors for effort and commitment you will receive 10 additional points when applying for student scholarships.
The new program of VMRO- DPMNE is really extensive in content with details listed in ways, deadlines and financial structures for the implementation of any proposed project. It is not made formally, because we had to go out before the citizens with a document, with brochure in which we will promise anything and everything just to win their trust. This program is realistic, achievable, and measurable, while the projects are proven and implemented. Therefore, I appeal to the citizens to read it carefully and do not allow anyone to manipulate with them, promising things without concept of conversion, as they themselves do not believe in what they offer and do not know how to implement!
