The strategic objective of the VMRO- DPMNE is reducing unemployment and creating employment opportunities for the young people. This is confirmed by the promise that we give to the citizens, that the future government of VMRO – DPMNE will create 64,000 jobs and reduce the unemployment rate to 22 percent, said Dime Spasov at a press conference.

In this context we provide range of measures to encourage the hiring of unemployed young people in the country, measures that are included in the electoral program of VMRO – DPMNE.
The possibility of exemption from payment of social contributions of employers who will hire a person younger than 29, is a measure which should stimulate hiring unemployed young people and is stimulating employers because the state reduces the cost of hiring a working staff.
Relief from payment of contributions for mandatory social insurance is provided, including:
- pension and disability insurance contribution,
- health insurance contribution
- insurance in case of unemployment contribution.
Exemption from payment of contributions for compulsory social insurance on a monthly basis refers to average gross salary for the previous year for a period of 12 months from the date of employment of the person.
Besides relief from payment of social security contributions, the employer is exempt from paying personal income tax on that person. The total tax exemptions for employers are: 27 % on the basis of social contributions and 10 % personal income tax, or total of 37 %.
The employer obligation is to keep the person on the job for 12 months, after the expiration of the period within is exempted from paying contributions for mandatory social insurance.
It should be noted that the exemption from social security contributions and personal income tax applies to self-employment of unemployed young people up to 29 years as well.

In order to successfully implement policies and programs for employment , the VMRO – DPMNE government annually brings operational plans and programs that include measures to activate the labor market and create jobs by stimulating demand in the labor market, adjustment of the supply and demand of labor.
In the period from 2007 to 2013 through the active employment measures are covered 54,958 unemployed persons and 30,524 employments have been made.
The government led by VMRO – DPMNE will bring a special operational plan for active programs and measures for employment of young people 2015-2016, which will aim to reduce unemployment, increase employability of young people and strengthening the competitiveness of the economy. The operating plan will define: the type of programs and employment measures, target groups, the necessary funds and sources of funds and the entities responsible for its implementation. The operating plan r active programs and measures for employment of young people will employ over 3,000 unemployed young people and with budget of MKD 150,000,000.
Measures provided to implement the operational plan for employment of young people 2015-2016 are:
-Employment program – First chance
-Self-employment program
-Subsidized employment of young people
-Internships for young people
