POLL: VMRO – DPMNE with convincing advantage, a double victory is certain

The coalition “For Better Macedonia” led by VMRO – DPMNE holds a comfortable lead and it is certain that they will take a double victory in upcoming parliamentary elections.

This is shown by the latest telephone survey of Institute Dimitrija Cupovski made ​​between 28 and 31 March to 1510 respondents.

If the survey results are compared with the previous one conducted by the Institute Dimitrija Cupovski late January 2014, it is noticeable that the ratings of VMRO- DPMNE has grown by an additional 1.7 %, while the SDSM ratings remained at the same level or noticed decline of 0.2 percentage points.

To the question “Which party will you vote for on the parliamentary elections?” 27.8 percent of respondents replied that they will for VMRO – DPMNE, 14.9 for SDSM. DUI follows with 7 percent, DPA 4.4 and GROM 1.8 %. 17.5 percent of respondents responded they will vote for none, while 23.8 percent answered “I do not know”.

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski still enjoys sweeping trust, his rating is four times bigger than the rating of Zoran Zaev. 27.9 percent of respondents said that they have the greatest confidence in the Prime Minister, while only 6.9 percent said they trust the head of the opposition.

More than 50 percent of respondents have more confidence that VMRO- DPMNE will fulfill campaign promises, while only 17.2 percent have confidence in SDSM regarding this issue. 32.2 percent answered “I do not know “.

At the question “Which political party has the definition of leadership and a better team, VMRO- DPMNE or SDSM?” 43.3 percent believe that it is the ruling VMRO – DPMNE, while 15.2 percent chose SDSM.

The incumbent and presidential candidate for a second term, Gjorge Ivanov has almost double advantage over Stevo Pendarovski. 30.2 percent of respondents said that they will vote for Ivanov at the first round of elections, while 16.1 percent for Pendarovski.

The survey, as emphasized by Dimitrija Cupovski, covered entire territory of the Republic of Macedonia, all electoral districts and other relevant demographic characteristics of the population such as sex, age, and ethnicity. Additional separation was done by rural and urban residences. All survey results are subject to statistical error of + / – 2%.
