Foreign experts are helping Macedonian companies to increase profits, transferring their experience. Government announced a competition for attracting and engaging foreign experts – practitioners with an international reputation that will help domestic companies.
The first phase of the project consisted of application of domestic firms that are interested in the experience of international experts and 100 companies had filed 105 requests for experts.
Johann Dietrich came in Macedonia after 20 years. He is an expert in retirement, who came on a voluntary basis to offer professional assistance to Macedonian companies. He came from Germany to work and help in Infinite Solutions.
- I am here as a representative of the German organization SES. We are experts who are retired from our professional jobs, and we share the experience we have gained. I personally have 40 years experience in world renowned companies throughout China, Colombia, Romania, and in a German company as well. It is good to mention that we work part-time. We are a kind of volunteers. It was my great pleasure to come back to Macedonia after 20 years and I feel really welcome in the country. SES is located in Bonn and is mainly funded by the German industry and has about 1,000 volunteers who are willing to offer their services. I offer my experience that I have gained during my work. I am here only 2.5 days and we have already made progress, and I look forward to the next period, expert Dietrich noted.
CEO Slađan Mihailovski indicated that they are working with commercial software development and implementation of systems and have more than 80 percent exports.
- We were looking for consulting help, we needed direction for the internal organization. The government announcement was ideal for us. We applied and the expert came to Macedonia. I appeal to other companies to do so. We are very satisfied with the experience, and we hope that the cooperation will continue and he will connect us with his contacts to expand the level of work, the director said.
Mihailovski pointed out that the main objective is to maintain excellence in Macedonia, Macedonian youth to remain in their country, and still to work on worldwide projects.
The first group of 15 experts from Germany and the Netherlands are expected to arrive in Macedonia as of April 2014 and the following groups of experts are expected to be from other countries, who will come every 45 to 60 days.
Companies have minimal costs that consist only covering the costs of accommodation of the expert in Macedonia.
This project is of great importance for the entire Macedonian business community, where international experts will contribute with their knowledge and skills.
There will also be great benefits for local economic development.
