The 2014 budget provides funds for new social rights or the right of a special allowance payment for single parents, children with disabilities, allowance for deafness, and extended allowance for mobility.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Zoran Stavreski at the 80th session of the Parliament, adding that the budget provides funds for regular and timely payment in respect of social security rights for all socially vulnerable categories of citizens and an increase of 5 %.
He pointed out that the 2014 budget provides funds to support the operation of existing day centers and soup kitchens, as well as funds to subsidize the cost of the energy consumption of the most vulnerable categories of citizens.
The 2014 budget projected funds in the amount of MKD 78. 667 million for social transfers, which include Government measures to improve the living standard of pensioners and social assistance recipients.
- Based on the precise calculations, it was found that the pensions and the Social Assistance can be increased. This will happen in March. So pensions and Social Assistance will be increased by five percent on average in March, said Stavreski.
Stavreski pointed out that the 2014 budget provides payment of MKD 1.752 million for the unemployed and MKD 320 million for implementation of active policies and measures for employment.
