The Government of Republic of Macedonia passed the law providing material securing for the unemployed based on bankruptcy, liquidation, and redundancy that practically extend the period of coverage for the unemployed.
- All those who lost their jobs during the period from 2000 to 31st of December 2013 and have been employed for more than 25 years and worked in companies predominantly owned by the state are entitled as of Friday in the next 30 days to apply at the Agency for employment of the Republic of Macedonia and to receive financial support in the amount of 7,100 MKD plus health insurance, said Minister of Labor and Social Policy Dime Spasov.
The Minister pointed out that with this law is expected to cover approximately 3000 citizens unemployed or redundant workers or unemployed on the grounds of redundancy and liquidation.
