Austrian companies who are familiar with the opportunities and advantages of doing business in Macedonia are seriously considering investing in the country. The business forum held in Vienna expressed positive assessments of the Macedonian business environment, officials said.
- In Macedonia, we see the opportunity to access large market. We want to develop and expand the company from SEE provider to worldwide provider of our products. To achieve this we require some investment in it. I hope that our business plans will be achieved, that we will invest, we will hire people, we will build the necessary facilities, said Manfred Raisner from “Knorr Branson” company that produces brakes for trains.
He informed that they have recently opened company in Skopje “Eka”, which deals with testing the brakes of trains and their sale and that it will become operational by March 1.
He expressed satisfaction that they have heard for the measures taken by the Macedonian government, which will be used for implementing their business plans for investment.
Raisner noted that their company employs 20,000 people and has turnover of four billion euro. The company has headquartered in Germany, while Austria is responsible for Eastern Europe, including Macedonia.
Interest in investing in Macedonia expressed Sabina Kids from the company Alsa. She said that their company has studied the Macedonian market few years ago and thought that offers very good conditions and opportunities for foreign investors.
- There are many easy procedures for opening and running business. The country has all the experts that we need to form the company, its management, and financial support. We are very satisfied with the terms offered by Macedonia and we personally witnessed, said Kids.
She added that Macedonia offers very favorable tax package compared with other countries, particularly in relation to taxation of profits which is currently zero percent if dividends are shared. According to her this as company, for them is very attractive and favorable condition and they plan to invest in Macedonia.
