Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Gruevski held meeting with the Director General of the Directorate General for Enlargement of the European Commission , Christian Danielsson.
As announced by the Government, at the meeting was discussed the European integration of the Republic of Macedonia as strategic determination of the Government.
Gruevski stressed that reforms are undertaken in order to reach the standards that are relevant for the European integration of our country, and has emphasized the contribution of the European institutions and the progress in the implementation of reforms.
Director Danielson expressed interest in the priority areas that the government plans to take in the next period and in the wake of the fall progress report. The interlocutors discussed the planning of further European financial support for the implementation of projects and reforms in the country, according to a government statement .
The Gruevski- Danielson discussed and priorities for implementation of accessible high-level dialogue between Macedonia and the European Union, which according to the interlocutors was rated as a positive, process and highlighted its usefulness for continuing reforms of the European agenda.
Prime Minister and the Director Danielson concluded that the results of the dialogue would contribute in reducing the duration of the negotiations for membership in the European Union.
