Netpress reveals new cases of a direct connection between the media and the opposition SDSM.
Head of Internet portal Brief is Ilin Nikolovski, son of MP from the coalition SDSM Lenche Nikolovska. Lenche Nikolovska is former journalist of A1, where she was Editor of the agricultural program.
At Brief works Nora Shaqiri, recognizable as a member of the city organization of SDSM. However, her brother, Arben Shaqiri was promoted as a member of the party’s Council for Culture of SDSM. Their boss and owner, as previously mentioned, is Ilin Nikolovski, which has less than 22 years. He is the sole founder and manager of the company Society for digital media Babinski ltd on which the site is registered. Cash deposit for the company establishment is 5,100 euro, paid by Ilin, which is quite an amount of money for a student, writes Netpress.
These data indicate that Ilin Nikolovski actually maybe just a pro forma, behind whom are certain political interests that actually run the information site.
Portal announces that this resembles to a case where there is a direct connection between politics and the media.
The second case, which is no less interesting, is the operation of the site A1 On. Its owner is the former television reporter in A1, Predrag Petrovikj. He registered the site on the Society for Digital Media Online Media Ltd Skopje, where he is the only founder and owner with principal amount of 326 thousand MKD.
- For 2012, he shows income of 1,078,588 denars, which for a site beginner is a good amount. After this, the owner has decided to upgrade its portal and created “Montenegrin version of the site.” What is very interesting is that if you enter to the site, at the Montenegrin version at impressum you will see the address, office, telephone number and names of journalists who if you Google them, you will see that people at the impressum, which are presented as journalists, editors and cameramen lead travel agency called TTS. Even the phones are identical, which means that tourism officials from Montenegro run medium under the auspices of A1 On, which not only is scandalous, but opens considerable doubt and at least destroys the credibility of the news site, writes Netpress.
